There are three main styles of landscape photography, some of which are listed below
Representational - the photos are realistic, but a lot of attention is paid to composition, light, weather and timing.
Impressionistic - photographic techniques are used to manipulate images, but the objects are still recognizable
Abstract style - the graphic elements in the photograph are composed using close-ups or underexposure, so that the scenery cannot be recognized.
Most landscape photographs are shot using digital SLR and compact cameras. A wide angle lens and tripods are preferred for landscape photography.

There are many photography websites , where photographers are paid every time their photo is used. In most websites, nature photography, specifically landscape photography is the most popular category and a popular photograph will be downloaded many times in a month.
Landscape photographs are photographs of natural scenery like waterfalls, forested areas, deserts and land formations. Animals and human beings are usually not shown in these photographs, unless they are relatively small in size. Photos of the sea coast are a subcategory, seascapes. Using the buildings and other elements in a city as graphical elements, a photographer composes urban landscape photos.
